IJoMS disseminates new research results in all areas of mathematics and its applications. Both original research and survey papers that stimulate further research in mathematics, statistics, and applied fields are welcome.

Subject Areas

Mathematical AnalysisReal and complex analysis, functional analysis, measure theory, ordinary and partial differential equations.
Applied MathematicsMathematical modelling, optimisation, operations research, dynamical systems, actuarial and financial mathematics.
AlgebraGroup, ring, and field theory, linear and multilinear algebra, algebraic structures and their applications.
StatisticsStatistical inference, regression and multivariate analysis, stochastic processes, biostatistics, data science.
Computational MathematicsNumerical analysis, scientific computing, algorithm design, simulation, and high-performance computing.
Survey PapersCritical reviews that map a research area, synthesise the literature, and identify open problems.

Types of Article Accepted

  • Research article — original, previously unpublished results, with complete proofs or a verifiable empirical method.
  • Survey or review article — a structured overview of a field, normally invited but unsolicited submissions are considered.
  • Short communication — a concise report of a significant result that merits rapid publication.

Out of Scope

To keep review times short, the editors desk-reject manuscripts that fall outside the areas above. The following are not considered:

  • Manuscripts with no mathematical, statistical, or computational contribution.
  • Work already published or under review elsewhere, in any language.
  • Manuscripts whose similarity index exceeds 25% after excluding references and quotations.
  • Submissions that ignore the IJoMS template or omit author affiliations and contact details.
