This study aims to design and develop an oyster mushroom baglog sterilization device using a boiler system with a biomass stove as the heat source as an alternative technology that is more efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly for oyster mushroom cultivators. The problems commonly encountered in the baglog sterilization process are the high fuel costs and the less optimal heat distribution in conventional sterilization equipment. Thermal energy requirement calculations, prototype fabrication, and performance testing. The experiments measured the temperature and humidity distribution across three compartments of the sterilization chamber. The results showed that the system successfully reached and maintained a sterilization temperature of 94,7°C with 99% humidity for 3 hours. With a capacity of approximately 30 baglogs per cycle, the device proved effective in improving heat uniformity, reducing contamination risks, and saving energy compared to conventional methods.
