ANALYSIS OF RAW MATERIAL INVENTORY USING THE EOQ METHOD

Abstrak

1. Ciomas Adisatwa is one of the raw material suppliers at Geprek Jade Chicken. Geprek Jade Chicken is an F&B (geprek chicken) company that has been established in 2019, the main menu is made from chicken. In carrying out production activities, it is closely related to the supply of raw materials which are important components that must be available for the smooth production process. One of the oldest inventory control methods in the world and quite capable and widely used by entrepreneurs is the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. Where the EOQ method can determine the optimal amount of inventory. This research aims to analyze the control of chicken raw material supplies in the context of efficiency and also to find out whether there is a difference between the EOQ method and the method used by Geprek Jade Chicken in providing raw materials. Data collection will be carried out from February-August 2024. The EOQ method in procuring raw materials, it can be concluded that using the EOQ method results are more efficient. The cost savings that can be obtained by the company during the February-August period (currently) are as follows: The total cost of chicken according to the company is IDR. 358,915,00., EOQ it is Rp. 95,063,00., so there is a savings of Rp. 263,852,00. The total cost according to the company is IDR. 134,632,00., EOQ it is Rp. 59,396,00., so there is a savings of Rp. 75,235,00. The total flour cost according to the company is Rp. 175,974,00. EOQ it is Rp. 164,163,00., so there is a savings of Rp. 111,810,00. The total savings according to Rp. 450.897,00. So to achieve research objectives, companies should use the EOQ method.
