https://e-journal.ukri.ac.id/index.php/mansion/article/view/3490

Introduction: The animation industry in Indonesia is growing rapidly, especially with the increasing demand for creative digital content. However, this growth also brings challenges, particularly for employees in animation studios who face high workloads and tight deadlines. Burnout is a common psychological risk that threatens employee well-being and organizational productivity. Background Problems: This study investigates how workload and social support influence burnout among employees at Patopo Animation Studios in Bandung. The central research question is: To what extent do workload and social support affect employee burnout, both partially and simultaneously? Novelty: Although previous studies have discussed the effects of workload and social support on burnout, limited attention has been given to creative industries in Indonesia— especially animation studios, which involve intensive emotional and cognitive labor. This study offers new insights by focusing on this unique organizational context. Research Methods: This research employed a quantitative approach with a saturated sampling technique involving 40 employees. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression using SPSS 25 to assess partial and simultaneous effects. Finding/Results: The findings reveal that both workload and social support significantly influence burnout, both individually and simultaneously. Workload increases the risk of burnout, whereas social support helps mitigate its effects. The model explains 58.6% of the variance in employee burnout. Conclusion: The study concludes that managing workload and fostering social support are critical in reducing burnout levels in creative work settings. These findings highlight the need for targeted HR policies that balance performance demands with psychological well-being in animation studios.
Ananda Fitriana, Deri Apriadi

https://e-journal.ukri.ac.id/index.php/mansion/article/view/3529

Introduction: Teacher performance is pivotal to learning quality in Indonesian schools, and two levers— principals’ transformational leadership and teachers’ work motivation— are frequently cited but unevenly enacted across Islamic education foundations. Background Problems: Many schools report inconsistent teacher performance; the research question is: To what extent do the principal’s transformational leadership style and teachers’ work motivation affect teacher performance, both individually and jointly? Novelty: Prior work rarely quantifies the simultaneous effects of these constructs within Islamic educational foundations; this study adds context-specific evidence by examining a single foundation and linking leadership behaviors with motivation in one model. Research Methods: A quantitative, associative design was used at the Darul Muttaqin Islamic Education Foundation (n = 44 teachers). Data were collected via validated questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression (SPSS 25) with t-tests (partial) and F-tests (simultaneous). Finding/Results: Both transformational leadership and work motivation significantly improve teacher performance; the model is significant (F = 18.186 > 3.23, p < 0.05), shows a moderate multiple correlation (R = 0.567), and explains substantial variance (R² = 0.831). Conclusion: Enhancing principals’ transformational practices together with systematic motivation initiatives (recognition, development opportunities, supportive facilities) can meaningfully raise teacher performance in Islamic secondary schools and should be prioritized in leadership and HR policies.
Rina Hasna, Granit Agustina

Introduction: Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in Indonesia’s economy, particularly in creating jobs and sustaining local growth. This study examines how entrepreneurial spirit and creativity influence business success among street food MSMEs in Dipatiukur, Bandung, an area where competition is intense and innovation is essential. Background Problems: Despite the rapid growth of MSMEs, many entrepreneurs face challenges in sustaining their businesses due to limited managerial capacity and lack of innovation. The guiding research question is: To what extent do entrepreneurial spirit and creativity affect business success, both partially and simultaneously? Novelty: While previous studies have highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship and creativity, few have quantitatively measured their combined impact in the context of street food enterprises. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with t-tests for partial effects and an F-test for simultaneous effects, supported by validity and reliability assessments. Finding/Results: The findings show that entrepreneurial spirit and creativity both have a significant and positive influence on business success. Entrepreneurial spirit contributes 30.8%, creativity contributes 16.9%, and together they explain 47.7% of the variance in business success. Conclusion: The study concludes that fostering entrepreneurial attitudes and enhancing creativity are key drivers of MSME success. These results imply that targeted training, mentoring, and innovationoriented policies are essential to strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of small businesses in Indonesia.
Saepulloh Saepulloh, Deri Apriadi

https://e-journal.ukri.ac.id/index.php/mansion/article/view/3501

Introduction: In today’s global competition, companies increasingly recognize that employee performance depends not only on technical expertise but also on interpersonal and self-management abilities. This study investigates the role of hard skills and soft skills in shaping employee performance within the service industry. Background Problems: Despite the growing demand for high-performing employees, many organizations still struggle to balance technical competencies with non-technical capabilities. The central research question is: To what extent do hard skills and soft skills affect employee performance, both individually and simultaneously? Novelty: While previous studies have examined these variables in broader corporate settings, few have empirically tested their combined impact within a fast-growing food and beverage franchise context in Indonesia. This study provides context-specific evidence by focusing on Mixue Ice Cream & Tea employees in Bandung. Research Methods: This research employed a quantitative design with a sample of 30 employees selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected via questionnaires, observations, and interviews, and analyzed using multiple linear regression, including t-tests for partial effects and F-tests for simultaneous effects. Finding/Results: The results indicate that both hard skills and soft skills significantly and positively influence employee performance. Partial tests show that each variable contributes independently, while simultaneous analysis reveals a combined effect explaining 41% of performance variance. Conclusion: The study concludes that enhancing both technical expertise and interpersonal abilities is crucial to improving employee performance. Organizations should therefore prioritize integrated training and development programs that strengthen hard and soft skills to remain competitive in the service sector.
Jumiyati Susamin, Dadar Supriatna
