This study focuses on the determinants of business performance within global franchise systems operating at the local level. Background Problems: Despite the established systems of international brands, many local outlets struggle to maintain sustainability amidst market saturation; thus, this research aims to analyze the extent to which entrepreneurial character and competitive advantage influence business success among Mixue Ice Cream and Tea outlets in Bandung. Novelty: While existing literature often focuses on independent SMEs, this study offers a unique perspective by examining the "human agency" factor (entrepreneurial character) within a highly standardized global franchise framework, a gap that remains under-explored in current management studies. Research Methods: A quantitative associative approach was employed, utilizing a saturated sampling technique involving 77 Mixue outlets in Bandung. Data were collected via structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression through SPSS 25 to evaluate both partial and simultaneous effects. Findings/Results: The results demonstrate that both entrepreneurial character and competitive advantage significantly and positively impact business success, with competitive advantage emerging as the more dominant factor (27.1%) compared to entrepreneurial character (20.3%). Conclusion: The primary conclusion is that business success in the franchise sector is a hybrid result of strong brand-driven competitive value and proactive local management. These findings imply that franchisees must not only rely on global brand equity but also cultivate resilient entrepreneurial traits to navigate local competitive pressures effectively.
2026-02-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Mansion: Management and Business on Kebangsaan https://e-journal.ukri.ac.id/index.php/mansion/article/view/3513 Peran Brand Ambassador dalam Membangun Loyalitas Pelanggan pada Industri Kosmetik Lokal-Scarlett Whitening di Kota Bandung 2026-02-25T22:08:32+07:00 Arnita Putri Putri putriarnita121@gmail.com R. Dewi Pertiwi Tiwieiqlima@gmail.com
Introduction: The skincare industry in Indonesia has witnessed exponential growth, leading to intense market competition among local brands. This study explores the critical role of marketing communication tools in securing consumer loyalty within a saturated market. Background Problems: Despite various promotional efforts, local brands face significant challenges in maintaining long-term retention due to high brand-switching behavior, leading to the research question: how do advertising and brand ambassadors collectively influence customer loyalty among Scarlett Whitening users in Central Bandung? Novelty: While previous studies have examined these variables independently, this research offers a unique integrative analysis of their simultaneous impact on a dominant local brand within a specific urban demographic, addressing a gap in empirical data regarding which factor acts as the primary driver of retention. Research Methods: A quantitative approach with descriptive and associative methods was employed, utilizing a sample of 99 respondents determined via the Slovin formula. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing (t-test and F-test) via SPSS 25. Finding/Results: The empirical findings demonstrate that both advertising and brand ambassadors have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, with a simultaneous contribution of 76.1%. Notably, the brand ambassador serves as a more dominant predictor of loyalty compared to conventional advertising. Conclusion: This study concludes that in the modern beauty industry, personification through credible figures is more effective in securing consumer commitment than information-heavy advertisements. The implications suggest that local firms must prioritize the selection of high-credibility ambassadors to maintain market stability.
2026-02-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Mansion: Management and Business on Kebangsaan https://e-journal.ukri.ac.id/index.php/mansion/article/view/3510 Faktor Penentu Keberhasilan Kewirausahaan Pelaku UMKM Fashion The Hallway Space Bandung 2026-02-25T22:15:33+07:00 Dewi Pratiwi dewipratiwi1908@gmail.com Deri Apriadi deriukri08@gmail.com
Introduction: This study explores the critical determinants of entrepreneurial success within the rapidly evolving creative industry, focusing on the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. As a primary driver of national economic growth, understanding the factors that sustain these businesses is essential for long-term economic stability. Background Problems: Despite their significant contribution to the GDP, many MSMEs face high failure rates due to a lack of managerial readiness and practical experience, leading to the research question: how do entrepreneurial skills and business experience influence the success of fashion MSMEs in a contemporary creative hub?. Novelty: While previous studies have identified general success factors, there is a lack of empirical evidence specifically focused on young entrepreneurs in integrated creative spaces like The Hallway Space, where social dynamics and community rules play a unique role. Research Methods: This research employs a quantitative approach with descriptive and associative methods, utilizing a sample of 44 fashion MSME owners. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing (t-test and F-test) via SPSS 25. Finding/Results: The results indicate that both entrepreneurial skills and business experience significantly influence success, both partially and simultaneously, with experience emerging as a more dominant factor. The model accounts for 45.1% of the variance in entrepreneurial success. Conclusion: The primary conclusion is that practical business experience is a more vital navigator than technical skills alone in a creative ecosystem. These findings imply that stakeholders should prioritize experiential learning and mentorship to enhance the sustainability of young creative entrepreneurs.
2026-02-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Mansion: Management and Business on Kebangsaan https://e-journal.ukri.ac.id/index.php/mansion/article/view/3499 Eksistensi Identitas atau Kekuatan Merek? This study explores how lifestyle and brand image intersect to influence consumer behavior in the competitive footwear market. Background Problems: Despite its established global reputation, Converse faces fluctuating market performance and rising competition from other top brands, raising the question of how psychological and brand-related factors specifically drive purchasing decisions among university students in an urban Indonesian context. Novelty: This research provides a unique perspective by prioritizing the "lifestyle" variable as a dominant driver over brand prestige in the Bandung student demographic, a nuance often overlooked in broader market studies that typically emphasize brand equity as the primary determinant. Research Methods: Employing a quantitative associative approach, this study gathered primary data from 96 students at the Universitas Kebangsaan Republik Indonesia through purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression, alongside partial (t-test) and simultaneous (F-test) hypothesis testing. Finding/Results: The empirical results indicate that both lifestyle and brand image significantly influence purchasing decisions, with lifestyle exerting a more substantial impact. Together, these variables account for 46.7% of the variance in consumer choice, highlighting a shift where personal identity alignment outweighs mere brand recognition. Conclusion: The primary conclusion is that purchasing decisions among students are a symbolic act of social validation. Therefore, marketing strategies must move beyond traditional branding to deeply integrate products into the dynamic, everyday lifestyles of the target audience.
2026-02-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Mansion: Management and Business on Kebangsaan https://e-journal.ukri.ac.id/index.php/mansion/article/view/3538 Kreativitas, Motivasi, dan Keberhasilan Usaha: Bukti dari UMKM Minuman di Kebon Pisang Street Food Bandung 2026-02-25T22:37:44+07:00 Mochamad Satria Alfauzan thomasfauan12@gmail.com Deri Apriadi deriukri08@gmail.com
Introduction: The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector, particularly in the culinary industry, serves as a vital engine for economic stability and innovation in developing urban landscapes. This study investigates the internal determinants of business success, focusing on the dynamic and highly competitive environment of street food clusters. Background Problems: Despite the sector's growth, many small-scale beverage vendors face high failure rates due to an inability to differentiate products and maintain operational drive, leading to the research question: how do business creativity and motivation simultaneously and partially influence the success of beverage MSMEs in the Kebon Pisang Street Food area?. Novelty: While previous literature has extensively explored MSME performance, this research offers a unique perspective by examining a specific micro-community of beverage vendors where product turnover is rapid and competitive barriers are low, a niche often overlooked in broader industrial studies. Research Methods: Adopting a quantitative associative approach, this study utilized a total sampling (saturated sampling) technique involving 40 respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing (T-test and F-test) processed via SPSS 25. Findings: The results demonstrate that both business creativity and motivation have a positive and significant impact on business success, contributing 49.1% to the variance in performance, with creativity emerging as the slightly more dominant predictor. Conclusion: This study concludes that a synergy of innovative capacity and psychological drive is essential for MSME sustainability. The implications suggest that stakeholders should prioritize creative skill-building alongside motivational support to enhance the competitive edge of local street food vendors.
2026-02-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Mansion: Management and Business on Kebangsaan https://e-journal.ukri.ac.id/index.php/mansion/article/view/3438 Pengembangan Karir sebagai Determinan Utama Kepuasan Kerja Guru di Lingkungan Yayasan Al-Mashum Mardiyah di Kabupaten Cianjur 2026-02-25T22:52:40+07:00 Rindi Silviani rindisilviani57@gmail.com Granit Agustina granitagustina22@gmail.com
Introduction: Education quality in private institutions is fundamentally driven by teacher performance, which is inextricably linked to job satisfaction. This study explores how internal organizational dynamics shape the professional contentment of educators within a foundation-based educational setting. Background Problems: Despite their critical role, teachers in private foundations often face stagnant work environments and unclear professional trajectories; thus, this study aims to analyze how organizational culture and career development simultaneously and partially influence teacher job satisfaction. Novelty: While previous research has extensively covered corporate sectors, this study offers a unique perspective by examining a hybrid educational institution that integrates national curricula with traditional religious values, a context where the tension between "vocational calling" and "professional career needs" remains under-researched. Research Methods: A quantitative approach was employed using a census sampling technique (saturated sampling) involving 80 teachers at the Al-Mashum Mardiyah Foundation. Data were collected via structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis to test the hypothesized causal relationships. Findings/Results: The results demonstrate that both variables significantly impact satisfaction, with career development emerging as the most dominant predictor (43.3%) compared to organizational culture (24.1%). This indicates that professional growth opportunities are more valued than cultural norms in driving educator satisfaction. Conclusion: This study concludes that structural career paths are vital for maintaining teacher loyalty in private institutions. The implications suggest that school foundations must transition from traditional top-down management to a transparent, merit-based career system to ensure institutional sustainability and educational quality.
2026-02-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Mansion: Management and Business on Kebangsaan https://e-journal.ukri.ac.id/index.php/mansion/article/view/3534 Meningkatkan Kinerja melalui Komitmen Organisasi dan Kepuasan Kerja Guru Pada SMK Bunga Persada Cianjur 2026-02-25T22:43:59+07:00 Nina Siti Nuryani nuryaninina046@gmail.com Dadar Supriatna dadarsupriatna71@gmail.com
Introduction: Teacher performance is a critical determinant of educational quality, yet it remains a complex challenge for vocational institutions facing global competitiveness. This study explores how these internal factors fortify institutional structures in non-formal education sectors. Background Problems: Despite their established legal status, many vocational training centers face operational stagnation due to a significant gap between managerial vision and the practical digital skills of staff. This research addresses the question of how leaders' knowledge and employees' skills collectively influence the institutional strengthening of the Dias Vocational Training Center (LKP Dias) in Cianjur Regency. Novelty: While previous studies often focus on general management, this paper highlights the critical role of technical agility and the digital gap as a primary barrier to institutional growth in rural-based training centers—a perspective less explored in existing literature. Research Methods: This study employs a quantitative associative design with a total sampling (census) of 30 employees at LKP Dias. Data were collected via Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing (t-test and F-test) through SPSS 23. Findings/Results: The empirical results demonstrate that both leaders' knowledge and employees' skills significantly influence institutional strengthening, with a combined contribution of 78.6%. Notably, employees' skills emerge as the more dominant factor, contributing 54.9% compared to the 23.7% contribution from leadership knowledge. Conclusion: The main conclusion is that institutional strengthening is primarily driven by technical proficiency at the grassroots level. This implies that management must prioritize digital up-skilling programs and modern communication strategies to ensure long-term institutional sustainability.
2026-02-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Mansion: Management and Business on Kebangsaan
