KRITERIA ELEMEN INTERIOR FASILITAS OLAHRAGA PADEL DALAM MENDUKUNG INTERAKSI SOSIAL PENGGUNA

Abstrak

The rapid growth of padel sports facilities has encouraged these spaces to function not only as venues for physical activity but also as potential settings for social interaction. This condition presents new challenges in providing sports facilities that are capable of supporting social interaction among users. Physical qualities, particularly interior elements, play an important role in shaping spatial experience and encouraging social interaction. This study aims to identify the criteria of interior elements in padel facilities that support social interaction based on users’ perceptions. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through an open-ended questionnaire distributed online to active users of padel facilities in urban areas, selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that users’ perceptions of social interaction are influenced by five main categories of interior elements: spatial layout and circulation, furniture and seating areas, lighting and color, materials and textures, and spatial comfort. Open spatial layouts, warm lighting and color schemes, safe and natural materials, adequate furniture and seating areas, as well as overall spatial comfort are perceived as important interior element criteria in supporting social interaction and user comfort. The findings of this study are expected to provide conceptual references and interior design strategies for sports facilities such as padel, enabling them to function optimally in supporting users’ social interaction.
