EKSISTENSI KORIDOR JALAN PROF. SOEDARTO SEBAGAI GERBANG UNDIP TEMBALANG

Abstrak

The Prof. Soedarto Road corridor serves as the main access and gateway to the Undip Tembalang Campus area. This study aims to identify and analyze the corridor as a circulation space and the visual aspects that shape the corridor, as well as to identify the potential and issues affecting the area's existence. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collected through direct observation on the Prof. Soedarto Road Corridor. The research findings revealed that this corridor has strong axial potential towards landmarks such as the UNDIP Gate and Muladi Dome, but is hindered by scale conflicts, a lack of pedestrian space, and facade irregularities. Recommendations are directed towards the reorganization of visual elements such as setbacks, facade rhythm, and strengthening the visual axis as strategies to enhance the area's identity.
