Ornamentation is one of the elements that can enrich architectural design, both on the exterior and interior. One method that can be used in exploring ornamentation design is the fractal method. A fractal is a geometric form or pattern characterized by self-repetition. In architecture, fractals can be used to create forms that are complex yet structured. This study aims to explore architectural ornamentation design forms using fractals. The method employed is a mathematical operation by generating Julia set fractals and Sierpinski fractal patterns to obtain Islamic ornamentation patterns involving floral and geometric forms. The results of the fractal Julia program produce 24 fractal forms that can be further developed into architectural ornamentation through geometric modification and repetition. The design exploration outcomes can be applied to interiors, building façades, and secondary-skin façades for shading devices.
